1. The Gift of Fitness This is the perfect time of year to consult with a coach if you've been thinking of it for a while. This time can be used for goal setting, looking at form, addressing a specific need, or talking through structure for the year ahead. Group Run Package If you are not ready for a full coaching package but want the benefits of joining a coached group and having some accountability, look to purchase a group run package for the year. We think it can be a very helpful and important aspect of training if you are local. So much so, we made a video about it! And if you are interested, ask about group swims (indoor and open water) and group bike rides too. Pricing information is available. 3. Support your Local Running Store Super Jock 'N Jill is a mainstay of the running community in Seattle and they've been a big supporter of ours over the years. Meal Prep Service There are many to choose from these days and we have not had the opportunity to try them all out but we have heard good things about Blue Apron. Blue Apron provides you with fresh local ingredients delivered to your door. All you do is cook and enjoy. Client Kristen reports that she loves the ease in which she’s able to provide delicious healthy meals with minimal cooking and no shopping. the meal service is completely flexible and easy to tailor to your needs and schedule. it fact, it's a great way to get out of your comfort zone and try some new foods. 5. Nutrition Kick Start for the New Year Speaking of meals, do you need a kick start on your nutrition for the New Year or help with a fueling plan for your training and events? Coach Lesley is now offering consulting options for nutrition. Nutrition consulting is appropriate for any athlete or fitness enthusiast regardless if you are starting your journey or are an experienced athlete at any level. Just like training is a process so too is nutrition and we feel this is a component along with exercise is important to tackle. 6. Recovery Lastly, don't forget recovery! There are many options but we particularly like incorporating regular sports massage or yoga into your routine. Check out the recovery options that Super Jock 'N Jill offers such as foam rollers, rolling sticks etc. We like to play hard but we also encourage recovering hard too!
