Andria - Assistant Coach
You may have seen Andria at many group events over the years. She often has helped mark courses, provided runner support and encouragement and has helped develop and lead strength classes. She also led the CoachLesley.com Orange Ogres Ragnar Relay team as Captain Ogre since 2011. In 2015, that included captaining both a Regular team and an Ultra team. She was very proud to run on the Ultra team which placed first in its division. She has been very active in developing CoachLesley.com’s blog, website and social media presence.
Andria thought that Sport was a 4-letter word when she was a kid. However, she grew up in Southern California and stayed busy swimming, body surfing, biking and sprinting for a bus and transitioned happily to adulthood having never thought of any fitness or health goals. Fast forward 10 years and starting an office job and she quickly realized that she needed to exercise to stay sane and healthy in mind and body. Her body had other ideas though and she quickly went through all the typical sports injuries. As she got more serious about running and general fitness, she found she really enjoyed learning about what had caused those injuries and what she could do to make sure she was able to continue to run, bike, knit and garden without pain. She has completed 10+ marathons, numerous other short races including trail races. Andria is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and holds a Level 1 USA Track and Field Coaching Certification. |
